JALUPRO

There are two different types of Jalupro, the lightweight Jalupro Amino Acid and Jalupro HMW (heavy molecular weight). They both work slightly differently so if your unsure which one will work best for you please feel free to book a consultation first.  For the best results and to get the most longevity from the product a course of treatments is recommended.

Jalupro is an injectable solution that has been formulated using a clever combination of amino acids. Technically labelled as a 'dermal biorevitalizer', it improves skin texture whilst diminishing wrinkles. 

The science behind Jalupro works by feeding the connective tissue under the skin layers, otherwise known as fibroblasts. Fibroblasts produce collagen and repair skin to ensure it always has elasticity and great looking texture. As skin ages, the fibroblasts function reduces in activity; this can be caused by many factors, including spending too much time in the sun, intense smoking and other reasons. Consequently, wrinkles appear.

The amino acids in Jalupro join forces with the existing fibroblasts to help them continue their pre-ageing function. The more abundant the amino acids, the more healthier the skin cells are, resulting in younger appearance. This natural phenomenon is an effective way for skin to look younger again without surgery.

PROFILO

Profhilo is an injectable anti-ageing treatment, it can be used on the face, neck, decollete, arms, hands and knees, or any part of your body where the skin shows visible signs of ageing.

PROFHILO® is the first stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA) based product that is manufactured without the use of chemical cross-linking agents (BDDE) and is used for skin remodelling and treating skin laxity, not for just filling lines and wrinkles. According to the makers, it delivers a dramatic improvement in tissue quality, even in challenging areas, and is complementary to other aesthetic treatments and dermal filler procedures.

The benefits of Profhilo are: Improvement in tissue quality, skin remodelling, treatment of skin laxity and restore skin firmness. Results are almost instant from the first treatment. In general, results will last from 6 to 9 months and even up to one year depending on individual skin type factors, such as age, and lifestyle. 

 

Profhilo contains IBSA’s hyaluronic acid is an ultra-pure grade hyaluronic acid, produced through a patented bio-fermentation process, of Streptococcus Zooepidemicus, which ranks worldwide as “top quality” in terms of purity, safety, and its high resistance to thermal production processes.

The formulation of HA with different molecular weights contained in PROFHILO is based on a concept of Hydrolift® Action. This innovative approach is aimed at counteracting the physiological reduction of HA in the skin, restoring hydration, elasticity, and skin tone, by associating, in a synergistic way, deep hydration with the mechanical action of lifting the skin. HA is hydrophilic which means that it draws and retains water in your body, thereby acting as a hydrator rather than a filler that only fills in wrinkles and plumps the skin temporarily. Within 3-5 days, you can witness the firsthand transformation of tired and dull-looking skin to firm and luminous skin. Profhilo® usually works to smooth and hydrate the skin from the very first treatment but results are more prominent after the second treatment as Profhilo® takes time to work. By having 2-3 treatment sessions, it allows the Profhilo® to remain in the skin for a longer time, resulting in a longer-lasting effect. 

It takes time to stimulate new collagen and elastin production to naturally improve the plumpness, firmness and elasticity of the skin. An initial cycle of two treatment sessions at 30 day intervals is recommended, followed if necessary by maintenance treatments every 2 months. However, it is suggested to evaluate the specific PROFHILO protocol according to the patients degree of ageing.
